I found after 2 years that I would have been fined $25K for each job since I wasn't a member of the PEO.<br><br>How do you become a member? Work in a junior position in a Canadian company for 2 years, while taking between 8 and 20 exams, then find 3 members of the PEO who are willing to testify that you are a competent engineer.<br><br>Canada make a big show of wanting experienced skilled people to immigrate, but the reality is that their home-grown engineers are operating a protectionist closed shop.
